About us
At Hart District Citizens Advice we provide free, confidential, impartial and independent advice and information on a wide range of subjects.
We work to resolve debt worries and help with claiming benefits entitlement. We can help with housing and employment problems, and deal with queries regarding consumer and tax issues.
We can assist on legal matters and answer questions about immigration, and can help with family and personal matters.
We speak up for change in social policies; from our clients' experiences we can see where services and policies are failing and campaign for change with local and national organisations and local and national government.
We are a charity, dependent on a workforce of paid staff and trained volunteers. Our main financial support comes from Hart District Council and from other funders for specific projects.
We are part of the national Citizens Advice service, which provides the extensive information system we use to advise clients and sets audited standards for advice, training, equal opportunities and accessibility in the bureau.
